GEOTECH CORDLESS CPT DATA SYSTEM (CONE PENTRATION TEST)

Now it is possible to combine the efficiency of Geoprobe® technology (Model 6625CPT) with the world’s leading innovator in cone penetration technique.

Geotech CPT Equipment includes probes, cordless data transmission and software.

The Geotech CPT(u) probes are equipped with individual sensors for point resistance (Qc), sleeve friction (Fs) and pore pressure (u). The cones are also equipped with tilt and memory channels. The system utilizes a sound transmitter or cable adapter for transmission to the surface. To back-up the data transmission, the cones can also a back-up memory of 8 hours capacity, with 18 bits resolution on all channels.

These cordless CPT probes can be used from a variety of push platforms such as the Geoprobe® Model 6625CPTand drilling rigs to provide continuous data, repeatable penetration results, and cost savings over more traditional boring and sampling methods. A CPT test is commonly used to determine the subsurface stratigraphy in situ (in place) and to estimate geotechnical parameters of the materials present. The Geotech CPT system is unique in the geotechnical industry for its cordless data transmission system: a constant stream of data is sent to the surface through the sounding rods. No cable through the rods is needed.


Cordless CPT offers a simplified process... This is the only CPT probe industry-wide that provides a constant stream of real-time data while you're probing... without a cord down hole. Information collected includes soil resistance on the cone tip, sleeve friction and pore pressures generated during the test. The operator does not have to manage data cable as the rods are cycled in and out of the sounding hole. Rod handling is efficient and the risk of cable damage is eliminated. Since the rod bore is free and clear, it can be used for lubrication grouting as the rods are pushed into the ground and for retraction grouting (hole sealing) as the rods are pulled. Can be used with multiple push platforms: drill rigs, cone trucks, Geoprobe® direct push machines.... Geoprobe® Model 6625 CPT Interpret results quickly with user-friendly CPT-PRO software for comprehensive data evaluation. CPT-Pro Software calculates geotechnical results such as n (SPT) values, shear strength and load bearing.
