Manual Sampling tools provide an alternate means of collecting subsurface information from modest depths without the use of a direct push machine. Geoprobe® Systems manufactures anvil adapters for many hand-held electric, pneumatic, and gasoline-powered hammers and drills. Tools manually driven into the subsurface are retrieved with a Geoprobe® Probe Rod Jack. The entire set-up can be carried into small spaces or densely vegetated areas. The complete kit is compact and can be easily transported by aircraft, helicopter, pick-up, van or a small 4X4 vehicle. This can also be used in exploration and prospecting to sample underlying basal tills, alluvial sediments, mine tailings, laterites and saprolites.
